Technical Director:
Le Petit Theatre is seeking a Technical Director (TD) to work in our scene shop and theater leading the scenic construction, load-in, and load-out for our production of Born with Teeth. The TD will report to our Production Manager, collaborate with the Creative Team, and is responsible for the supervision and execution of scenic builds, scenery load-ins, and scenery strike/load-outs. Additional pay is negotiable for candidates able to create build drawings based on scenic ground plans, and renderings.
Other required tasks:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Read and interpret ground plans and build drawings
- Assist in Timekeeping Routines (i.e. attendance, breaks, and conflicts)
- Work experience in multi-department environments a plus (i.e. Audio, Video and Projection, Lighting, Scene Painting, etc.)
- Supervise shop and stage crew in tasks and projects identified by the Production Manager and the Creative Team
- Experience with basic scenic carpentry construction (i.e. flats, stairs, platform and wagon units, etc.). Metalworking experience a plus.
- Wire Rope and Scenic Rigging experience

Timeline: Typical daily work calls are 8 to 10-hour days with a mandatory 1-hour walk-away meal break. Work locations will either be at our scene shop in Central City or at Le Petit Theatre, located in the French Quarter.
- Shop Build for Born with Teeth: 4/2/24 to 4/10/24
- Load-in at Le Petit: 4/11/24 to 4/19/24
- Load-out/Strike at Le Petit: 5/13/24 to 5/14/24
Total Expected Hours: 80 to 100 hours
Pay: Independent contractor agreement for $4,000.

Master Electrician:
Le Petit Theatre is seeking a Master Electrician (ME) to work in our theater leading and overseeing the hang and focus of all lighting instruments for our production of Born with Teeth. The ME reports to the Production Manager and Lighting Designer and will lead a small team of 2-3 technicians to execute the hang and focus of the lighting plot. They must be comfortable with heights as they will be working with a genie lift, A-frame ladder, and scaffolding in a dead-hung house.
Other required tasks:
- Lift up to 35 lbs
- Troubleshoot lighting instruments
- Learn and operate ETC ION operating on the Nomad Control System
- Serve the LD as lighting programmer during tech rehearsals on 4/20 and 4/21

- Hang and focus work hours are April 10-19, 2024; Monday-Friday between 9 AM and 6 PM with a mandatory 1-hour walk-away lunch break.
- Tech Rehearsal hours are Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, 2024 between 10 AM and 10 PM with a 2-hour walk-away meal break each day.
- Load-out and plot restore are May 13-15, 2024; Monday-Friday between 9 AM and 6 PM with a mandatory 1-hour walk-away lunch break.
- Work location for all will be at Le Petit Theatre, located in the French Quarter.

Development Manager:
Le Petit Theatre is searching for a Development Manager. A member of the full-time team and reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Manager is responsible for the fundraising initiatives of a theatre that produces a five-show subscription season plus additional off-subscription and educational programming.
About the role:
The Development Manager shall work with the Executive Director to oversee the contributed income goals for the theatre through the annual fund, government and foundation support, corporate sponsorship, major gifts, and special events including an annual gala. They will be an articulate and enthusiastic spokesperson for the organization and will communicate the importance of its programs to a wide range of constituents. The Development Manager will work with executive leadership and the board to grow and deepen existing and new donor relationships locally and nationally.
Duties of the role include:
- Assist with all fundraising activities on behalf of the theatre, including board and individual giving, institutional support, and major gifts.
- Work with the board Development Committee and executive leadership on annual fundraising goals and execution of development plan.
- Build and grow relationships with board members, funders, government agencies, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with board members, advisory board, and donors about the organization’s activities and programs.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward major and multi-year gift prospects.
- Identify new sources of support for education and new works programming.
- Coordinate with outside grant writer and oversee grants calendar.
- Play a leadership role as appropriate at donor and patron events, opening nights, board meetings, and committee meetings.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events including the annual Curtain Call Ball gala and an annual fundraiser for education.
- Work with board committees to identify new board members, major donors, and sponsors.
- Maintain accurate and updated donor records and execute donor acknowledgments.
- Lead benefits fulfillment for board, donors, and sponsors.
- Track the department budget and maintain accurate income and expense records.

Qualifications:
- At least two years demonstrated success in development and fundraising.
- A proven track record in meeting fundraising goals.
- Ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors in ways that lead to deepened and authentic engagement.
- Experience building positive relationships with boards, donors, and stakeholders and the ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission, vision, and goals to the community.
- Strong initiative, assertiveness, and creativity while effectively working as part of a small staff and volunteers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with confidence and enthusiasm for the organization.
- Experience with CRM software is required.
This is a full-time position. Regular office hours are M-F 10am–6pm. Some evening and weekend work required. Competitive starting salary and benefits package.

Part-Time Box Office Associate:
Le Petit Theatre is searching for Part-Time Box Office Associates. Reporting to the Patron Services Manager, Box Office Associates help in-office during box office hours to sell tickets and assist patrons with donations and tickets already purchased. They also help on show dates at the theatre in the box office.
Qualifications:
- Paid training period to learn Audience View ticketing system, as well as scanning and printing technology.
- Availability for show dates up to two hours prior to doors opening and assistance in clean-up afterward

Responsibilities:
- Answer phone and email inquiries from theatre patrons
- Check-in patrons and respond to questions about tickets, parking, seating, and facilities.
- Provide a friendly welcome to patrons.
- Assist in box office set-up (pre-show) and house cleanup (post-show)
